[Poland Expatriate] Poland Expatriate Visa|Employment (Labor)-Residence|D-TYPE

I am an engineer from Company K who is about to be dispatched to Poland .
I am curious about what a work visa is for stay and what is the issuance process.

In order for Korean nationals to work in Poland, they need a work (employment) visa for less than 1 year.
You must obtain a (National Visa D-TYPE) .

However, in cases of more than 1 year , you must obtain a residence permit after issuing a work (employment) visa (National Visa D-TYPE).
It must be issued .

D-TYPE

This visa is required when you wish to stay in Poland for more than 90 days. The maximum number of days that this visa can be issued is 1 year.
You will also need to apply for a national visa if you wish to apply for asylum, repatriate or use the rights provided by the Poland Card.

※ Each stage takes at least 4 weeks.
※ Depending on local circumstances, the total time required to issue the final visa may take more than 6 months.
※ In some cases, it may take up to 12 months depending on local circumstances such as terrorism and refugee issues in Europe.

The Work Premise submitted by the employer states the employer’s employment conditions. The Polish Employment Agency examines whether manpower suitable for the employment conditions can be found in Poland and submits one copy of the application for recognition of the issuance of a work permit.

If it is determined that the relevant manpower is available, a foreign work permit certificate will not be issued.

Therefore, in order to receive a work permit certificate, suitable personnel for the job must not currently be available in Poland.

An employment permit is obtained from the Polish National Employment Agency based on an employment (employment) permit certificate issued by the competent city/provincial office.

An employment permit can be applied for by the employer, and the following documents must be submitted when applying:

At this time, employment permits are classified into the following types:

When applying for an employment (employment) visa, the following documents are required.

If you work and stay in Poland for more than one year, you can receive a residence permit (residence card) locally after entering the country. Residence cards are classified into temporary residence cards, long-term residence cards, and permanent residence cards, and you can stay in Europe until the residence card issuance is completed. There may be restrictions on movement/travel.

The documents required for issuance are as follows:

Due to the recent increase in refugees, outbreaks of war, and threats of terrorism in Europe, the time from work permit to visa and residence permit issuance is sometimes taking from at least 6 months to up to 12 months.

Therefore, we recommend that you prepare with sufficient time in advance. Of course, it is possible to issue it even after leaving the country, but there may be restrictions on commercial activities, which may make it difficult to conduct business smoothly.

Due to the nature of visa services, if you have sensitive personal information or information that requires security, you must choose a place where it will not be leaked. Service guarantee items and unit prices vary by company, so you must carefully compare and select. In addition, you should choose a company that has a service infrastructure where cancellation and refund policies are clearly visible and progress can be viewed at a glance.

At SoftLanders, you can meet more than 500 alliances (service vendors located on the SoftLanders platform) around the world in one place, and platform security technology is applied, so you can use it with confidence against personal information and security data leaks.

A. Cost reduction through comparative estimates
Softlanders has several alliances that provide overseas visa issuance services. When a customer requests a quote, we encourage blind quote competition between various visa alliances to provide customers with cheaper visa issuance costs. (Each quote is reviewed and selected by the customer)

B. Efficient visa preparation
Additional tasks such as translation and notarization required during the visa issuance process can also be completed at once. Except for processes that require actual participation, such as interviews, and cases where there is a separate request from the Alliance, customers can conveniently solve the complexities of visa issuance by simply submitting the necessary documents.

C. variety of options
In addition to consulting or law firms, you can choose from various alliances such as immigration agencies and administrative agencies depending on the type of visa and purpose of issuance. Not only can you save on visa costs, but you can also discover a more convenient and faster issuance process that you didn’t know about.
